    Hello,

I have an issue that I just can't figure out. I am trying to download a pretty large app (97mb). I only have 57mb of phone storage, but have 7.3G of free space on my memory card. Why can't I save the app to the SD card? When I try to download the app, an error message says "not enough storage space". I am updated to the latese version of android. Is it in the phone or the OS?

What app is 97mb? To install you need at least 97mb of free space on your phone regardless if you move it to your SD card or not.

It's actually 93.74 MB. It's the Time Machine app for RUSH> Thanks for the answer.

I'll add to this. A download must first be installed on the phone and then moved to the SD card. You can't save directly to the SD card.

Are you sure? I'm pretty sure when I installed AngryBirds it installed directly to the SD card because after I installed it, I went to move it but it was already there..... perhaps its up to the app developer to decide if the app installs directly to the SD or not???

Positive, if your phone didn't have the space internally it wouldn't have installed at all. Apps that can be moved to the SD card often default to the card after install but the space is still needed on the phone initially.

I've had that problem with Pocket Legends and Angry Birds.
