    Growing Forum Junky

Hey I'm new to the forum! I'm very enthused with learning android. From Linux coding to helpful android apps! I've come quite a ways now but refuse to go further due to warranty restrictions on rooting and jail breaking. Looking forward to getting to know this app and for android savvy folks to teach me a few things! Thanks for reading!

If you're concerned about the warranty, then you definitely should NOT root your android phone. Rooting isn't for everyone, and if you're in doubt, don't do it. By attempting to root your phone, you run a real risk of doing serious damage to it and under some circumstances it may not be recoverable. On the flip side however, if you do choose to root your phone and fully understand the risks involved, our forums present a wealth of information on how to do it (step-by-step, in many cases) as well as many really nice people to hold your hand and walk you through the process. We also have a top notch group known as the Rescue Squad (on all of our forums, not just Android.Net) and they are real experts on coming up with solutions to almost any problem you run into.

So if you do decide at a later date to root your phone, the support structure is there to assist you, and the Rescue Squad is there if you get in a bind.
