So the quad core version of the HTC One X is a definite strong contender - does anyone else out there know of any others worth considering???

Which one (HTC One X or SGSIII) do think will be the better overall phone for the requirements I specified in my opening post?

Well it all depends on how long you want to wait. If you want to get it now the One X it's almost out (probably next week or so. The only thing it does not cover from your list is the external SD card. Not sure if the SGS 3 have an expansion bay though. Both phone are very comparable in my opinion, hard to lose in either one.

Despite the fact that no one actually knows the specs and features of Galaxy S III... Not even its actual name. Only rumors. Though, the latest rumors aren't very promising. We'll have to wait 'til May.

Thanks for your advice guys - I might buy an unlocked 2nd hand SG SII (3G) for now & wait for official info on SG SIII to be made public.
