    Question Uninstalling Android System Apps?

Recently a new app, UberSocial, appeared on my Optimus V phone and started nagging me to update it. I did install the updates, but it uses 9MB of phone storage and I will never use it so I'd like to uninstall it. That doesn't seem to be an option in Manage Applications for this app.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

You need to contact the developer of the app and tell him what's going on.

To uninstall system apps, you have to root your device. Try contacting your carrier about it. The developers of the application cannot install it by themselves. It's probably your carrier.

You can uninstall the updates but you can't remove the app without root access. Go to settings/apps/manage apps/all/ubersocial/uninstall update.

Be careful in uninstalling System Apps. You could be removing something that your phone considers necessary for booting. Do that, and you could end up with boot loops or similar problems.

Ya if you do root its best to disable the system app using an app like Titanium Backup rather than delete it.

From what he said and I understood, (unless I'm wrong) the application was not originally on the device?
