New, But Interested in Learning Much..

    Hello everybody..
Im sort of new at a lot of this,, and would appreciate advice from senior members.. First off,, I'm using an HTC mytouch 4G (Glacier).. It has never been rooted or flashed,, and it should be pretty normal.. should be.. I'm not sure how it happened,, but it now has some pretty cool features to be a stock phone.. (free,, unlimited Wi-Fi hot-spot,, as well as unlimited 4G data on a prepaid plan).. t-mobile $50 a month,, I'm only supposed to get 100 mb.. anyways,, I'm interested in enhancing my device even further,, so any advice and pointers would be greatly appreciated.. I'm happy to be a part of this forum,, and I'm sure I'll enjoy it..

That was very informative.. I've been wondering about some of the terminology I had been seeing while looking up rooting methods.. its definitely convenient to have it all spelled out right there in one spot.. Thank you.. now I need to decide exactly which custom rom I want to use.. I know my overall plans are going to include memory optimization (I want the most out of every byte),, increase in processor speed,, and plenty of potential for customization.. does anybody have any suggestions pertaining to this,, as far as my particular device is concerned??..

I've already found a lot of information from this forum,, and I appreciate every bit of it.. My friends also want me to say thank you for them,, because I used information from this forum to bring their phones bacc from what they thought was disaster.. I want to become a developer,, but don't have a lot of info to start with.. I just have the ability to learn.. any advice or references would be greatly appreciated.. thanks much..
