I don't think there's a navigation program out there yet that speaks turn by turn directions like TomTom does.

There are a couple out there that are about the same as the one that comes with the phone. A little different interface here and there but doing about the same thing over all.

The TomTom-ish ones probably have to wait for the next upgrade.

There's a very good navigation program out there that's compatible with our phone. I use it all the time. It's called Co-Pilot Live.

Has great turn by turn directions and interface.

I have 9 lockerz invites if interested PM me.

    Thanks Batmania,

Can you advise where we can get Co-Pilot Live from?

    Is it easy to install?

    Are the maps up-to-date?

Does it require an external GPS?

The million dollar question...can you get it for free?

Co-Pilot is not free. It's $29.99 from the Market.

Very easy to install. You just have to update the maps through the update options within the app itself and it requires wifi connection to update the maps. Does not require external GPS it uses the built in GPS on your phone.

    try waze

a pretty good FREE turn by turn voice navigation that works on backflip is Waze. available in android market. it uses live, user generated maps and also provides live traffic reports and police traps. current version only supports trips up to 200 miles, so not useful for long trips but fun app for daily commutes and smaller trips.
