    Smile Still Deciding

Well, we (wife and I) are ready to upgrade to smartphones, and like ATT service (no so much their customer service, but can survive the phone calls). I'm not into the Istuff too much, and like the possibilities of the Andriod platform. So, I'm doing research to make sure it will do, or soon be able to do what I want.

Well, I'm looking at making sure I can browse the web and get emails wherever I'm at, a basic for smart phones. I liked the QWERTY board and touch screen options. I know several friends that have one of those ithings that cannot seem to make an actual phone call without dropping me, but i do like the aps / programs they have. I understand that Android is catching up with the aps game, so I think I'm ok there. Having the maps / semi gps is also a plus so I wont have to buy a seperate unit for that.

Does the Blackflip have an ap for Sirius Radio? I have a seperate unit, but would love to really combine the Sat radio, gps, phone, email, web into one.

    Thanks

    Mike

They are currently working on a sirius app for android. As far as GPS there are a few apps that you can download for turn by turn. Google maps will have turn by turn once we get the update to 2.0. (or even 1.6)

Very cool. One last question, how is the sound quality on the actual phone? We went with the Nokia before due to they had the best sound quality that we tested (yes we spend an hour in the ATT store testing phones, calling each other).

I noticed that on your tag that you also own a BB 9700. Is the sound quality that much better on the BB's? She is also condiering a BB vs BFlip.

Yes the in call sound quality on the blackberry was a lot better than on the backflip. Music and speakerphone backflip is louder and clearer.

That's what I was afraid of. I guess I'll have to see if when we upgrade, they will let me get he BFlip, and her the BB. We have a family plan but I am afraid that when we go to do the upgrade, we will have to get the same phones. It has been almost 2 yrs since we had to do this.

    Thanks for the help.

No you dont have to get the same phones. When upgrading you can choose between any phone they have. Some you will have to pay a fee for and some will have 30.00 data packages (iphone, blackberrys, and any smartphone) for.
