Since this is my first smart phone, the apps I use tend to change from time to time. I thought I'd update what I currently have on my phone.

If you have any questions about them or their reliability, feel free to ask. Here is the current list.

2 player ripples (remember boomshine? It's like that but 2 player)

    Android system info

    Barcode Scanner

    C:geo (unofficial geocaching app)

    Facebook

    Geocaching (official app)

    Google Reader

    Google Sky

    Handcent SMS

Hangdroid (lite) (Hangman...great for playing with your kid...you make the words)

    K-9 Mail

    Linda Manager

    OI Shopping List

    My Verizon Mobile

Radar (plug in for geo apps)

    Sense Analog Glass Clock

    TuneIn Radio

    Tweetcaster Premium

    Weatherbug Elite

    Zeam launcher

I don't have too many apps but the ones I do have and use everyday are 1.) Pandora, 2.) Daily Bible (Joansoft), 3.) English/Spanish translator (Alterme Inc.), and I love the background app from Stylem Media. Oh, and let's not forget Google Maps! I'm not very techy so I don't know much about task killers and stuff like that. I suppose the more exposure I have to the information, the more I will get into it. I reckon I have just scratched the surface of what my phone can do!

I've found CamScanner to be quite handy.

I use my phone quite a bit for school/work, so my taste in apps may be different, but this is what I have:

    1. K-9 Mail

    2. Ally Specific Connect Bot (http://androidforums.com/lg-ally/131...ification.html)

    3. Springpad

    4 .Astro File manager

    5. Dropbox

    6. aCar

    7. Mini Info Widget

    8. SSHDroid (allows connections to the phone)

    9. Tricorder (strangely enough I do use it to monitor emf and it works great)

    10. RealCalc

Some other gems that I use a lot, but wouldn't consider "must have" are

    11. SwiFTP (ftp server)

    12. Samba File server

    13. Barnacle

    My shortlist

Must have: QuickPic by alensw.com. Smokin Fast Gallery Viewer with a few nice options (hide folders, password protection)

Animated Gif Player by Wildcard Apps

    If your rooted

Must have: Move2SD Enabler by Robert Leinardi (now all those apps that had the potential to be moved to Sdcard but were locked by developer just unlocked)

Velocity custom Rom for the Ally! By Trident. (Built in features.. bye bye bloatware-myspace, facebook, etc. Google maps moved to SDcard! CPU is overclocked for superfast performance.

Can you give me more information on the Velocity Customer Rom and the Move 2sd enabler. Do these things free up your memory on the Ally and are they good.

    Thanks
