In other words......Is there a task killer which will kill certain apps any time they start?



I am not a power user but I do use a lot of different features of my phone so I would like to control what uses up my battery and speed. I will never use Skype, visual VM, backup assistant, LG Calendar, LG Social, etc. and I would like to know if there is a task killer which will let me select those certain apps to be killed any time they start?

Task killers are not going to help. They aren't needed anyway. The programs will restart no matter what. The only way to stop the features you listed is to get rid of them entirely. Unfortunately, the only way to do that is to root the phone. If you do not want to do that, then you are stuck with what came on the phone.
