Trying to install Velocity 0.1.1 Rom need help

Hi Guys i am new to posting. Okay I want to install Velocity Rom 0.1.1 The one that looks like the Nexus S black and green theme. I have my ally rooted with gingerbreak; have clockwork recovery installed backed up stock rom (rooted stock ,bloatware removed ,etc...). and every time i try and install it using rom manager, it says installed successfully and reboots and gets in a boot-loop. So I have to recover and figure out how to successfully install velocity 0.1.1. When trying to install, i wipe cache/daviche etc and still gets in boot-loop. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also i am on the 2.2.2 updated software if that helps.

You CAN'T install Velocity 0.1.1 on your phone if you're running 2.2.1+. Velocity 0.1.1 is a ROM for Android 2.1. If you want a good ROM I'd suggest Velocity 1.1, not 0.1.1.

oh thanks i didnt know that and would i install 1.1 the same way ive been trying to install 0.1.1? and what about 0.2?

1.1 is the newest, hence the 1.1 and not 0.2 or whatever. Yes, download the ROM, boot into recovery wipe everything, then flash. Do not use ROM Manager, it doesn't work very well with the Ally, the Amon Ra recovery is recommended.

Where are you getting these ROMs from? Wherever you're downloading them from should tell you if they are 2.2 based or 2.1 based. Velocity 1.0 and 1.1 are the only two Velocities on 2.2.
