To anyone who happens to read this: I'm new to rooting android phones . ( i know the lg Ally is, what I call, a fake android lol )



I originally wanted to overclock my phone, and remove the stupid amazon and other useless apps. I d/l gingerbreak to root the phone ( it worked.. well it said it was rooted ). Then I get ROM Toolbox ( didn't work.. but let me changed the fonts... big deal ). Then researched and found the ROM Toolbox ( liberty toolbox ) doesn't like the Ally... ( i'm beginning not to either ). So, I d/l ROM Manager and then d/l a rom to flash. Well, when I went to search the file sys to find the rom i d/l, I couldn't find it. But i found something that I thought was the rom. It was in the root dir of sdcard, so I choose that to flash. It asked me if i really wanted to reboot to recovery and install that file; i said yes. ( I know, I'm a dumbass lol ). So now, the phone (which is not bricked ) boots up to some sort of basic version of Lg Home that looks like the android 2.2.x without some of the apps ( but has su installed in the tray ). I cant make any calls, send texts, get online, there is no gmail app, nor can I add the gmail account under 'accounts and sync'. It has no 3g. market does not work ( it just forecloses ). I can use the web if i'm at home using my wireless home network, but no internet away from the house. I can use thinkfree office to reinstall some of my app that I downloaded. ( like rom toolbox, rom manager, etc ). But rom manager wont flash anything or reboot to recovery. ( it says " You must have clockworkmod installed to flash roms or install zips.) If i could boot to recovery ( which i've only seen the phone do once when I flashed the rom that screwed the phone) i might be able to fix it. But no matter what I do, I can't seem to get into recovery mode. ( i'm not even sure how to do that without the rom manager doing it for me.) I've tried holding pwr, menu, snd buttons down. I've tried holding pwr, snd and vol down, and i've tried holding home, snd, and pwr. ( all when phone was off and powered up to lg screen then let go. I've gotten different results. Holding home, pwr, and vol down: i get the android comming out of the box. When pressing snd (send. the far left button ), menu, and pwr buttons i get an android with a triangle and a ! inside. then the screen goes black and system reboots back into the afformentioned desktop screen ( i used desktop for lack of a better word). Also, my home key will not work when phone is on. I know this was long, but i wanted to get as detailed as possible to give you a complete picture... Please if anyone can help.. please help. I don't even care about getting a cooler rom. i just want my phone back. It's my fiance's phone btw, and I screwed it up, and she said that if i cant get the phone working; there will be no sex....... OMG please help...
