My e-mail notification keeps me and my husband up at night. Is there a way to silence the e-mail notification and allow text messages and calls to ring?

Do you mean Gmail? You can go to Settings and scroll down to Notifications and uncheck the Email notifications box. Of course, you'll have to remember to turn it back on each morning.

Ok, so I went to settings, no "notification" there. Under sound and display settings there is "notification ringtone" but nothing to seperate g-mail from text messages........

I'm sorry I wasn't clear on my instructions. Go into Gmail on your phone and then go to settings.

Would this apply to hotmail. and yahoo mail? I think the Verizon rep set these to go through gmail.

You have to go into each email account and hit the menu key then it comes up like the g-mail one does. You can change ur ringer for each mail account or just silent them whcih i did so my notifications arent all the same.
