Has anyone else had issue with the media volume through headphones? I've just recently started using my Ally to listen to music while at the gym, and have noticed the volume is low even when maxed out. When I say low, I really mean not blaringly loud like I am used to. For instance on my old Ipod, I'd have the volume locked at around 85% and it was LOUD. But with maxed out volume on the Ally, the volume seems to compare to like 50% of Ipod volume. Just wondered if anyone else had noticed this. And yes, I am using the same headphones that I used on the Ipod. Also, anyone know of an equalizer type app that could manage audio levels?

I also noticed this as well. I tried listening to Pandora to see if maybe it was an issue with the built-in media player app but there was no difference. It would be nice to have a little more volume because when you have alot of other ambient noise it can be hard to hear the music. I am looking into some earphone options that may help but hate to get them without trying first to see if they solve the issue. If you come across anything please post back and I will do the same.

    Good luck!

I thought so too. I had some cheap $5 headphones that I got at TJMaxx which is a clothing store LOL. I then bought a pair of decent headphones and the volume is BLARINGLY loud and crisp and the bass is awesome. The headphones DO make a difference.

Well my headphones are quality Sony earbuds that I paid around $45 for a couple years ago, so I don't think the headphones are the issue. Maybe I need to have my hearing checked!

I have the same problem with mine and I have tried a variety of decent headphones. Sony, sennheiser, and koss as well as a ton of cheap headphones. All the same. All those headphones on an old ipod shuffle really can get loud. I don't believe its the headphone jack at all. Most mp3 players have a heaphone output of around 5 mW's and from the sound of it I believe this phone either has a software limitation or just flat low output of well below 1 mW.

I use some $12 Sony earbuds and I typically keep my phone at 50% volume for music, which is enough to blot out outside noise completely.
