I use Tweetcaster for twitter now and they tweeted an app for watching TV so I followed the link. It is hosted at "getjar" and is a non-market app obviously. I allowed non-market apps and downloaded it. After looking at what they had to offer, I decided it wasn't for me and deleted it from 'manage applications' and also deleted the .apk file out of downloads on my sd card. Is this that trojan/virus thing they were talking about? And if so, after I deleted it and I in the clear or can these non-market apps make changes that can't be undone? If that is the case, is a factory reset in order?

No, the trojan is a multimedia player that sends text messages to a number that costs about $5 per text.

Can a non market app make changes that can't be undone? Not that I am aware of and a Factory Reset will set everything back to normal.

Thanks. I'm going to do a factory reset just in case. I didn't like what I saw in the log created by android system app.
