I'm brand-new to the LG Ally, and it's my first-ever smartphone. I have a limited plan (150 megs per month), so I thought I'd check my Verizon account to see how much data I'm using. I notice there are quite a few data downloads in the middle of the night. Which means that my phone is updating itself without my input. Is there a way I can stop this? I mean, other than having to power down the phone every night before I go to bed? I have no idea what's causing it. I found a place where Google was asking for my location, and I turned that off. There must be other stuff happening though.
Is there an app that would put my phone in airplane mode at a certain time every night and then wake it back up? I don't want downloads that will run up my monthly fees.
