GPS Help please

Is there a way to turn on voice to give driving directions? I know how to enter information, but don't know how to activate a voice to give directions while driving. Thank you.

If you use Google Navigator, when you first launch it, there is an option to touch called "Speak Destination".

If what you are saying is you don't hear any directions as you are driving I would suggest you make sure your volume is turned up. Go into the program and once you have the maps showing raise the volume then. It should say navigation volume. Make sure that is turned all the way up. I know I am able to change the volume of different things depending on what program I am in and it doesn't affect the volume in other areas.



If you want to tell the GPS where you want to go by speaking then what Ally said should do it.

I recall after I upgraded to Froyo, the first time I launched Navigation I was prompted that I need to download and install TTS or I would not have voice guidance. Perhaps you were given this prompt and inadvertantly declined the download??

Thanks Marioval, Downloading that seemed to fix the problem. Will have to try it out today!
