Android Lurker
Hello,
I am new to this site but was reading around to try to find a solution for my bf.
We both have an LG Ally. He just recieved a replacement phone a couple weeks back due to an unrelated issue. He keeps losing his notification sounds now with the new Ally. He has a 16 sd card and pretty much the same apps as I do (I am not experiencing the notification sound issue). He uses Zedge to download tones for his notifications.
He has tried a battery pull (didn't work), adding a task killer (didn't make a difference), and checking his settings (they're correct and based off of those settings he should have sound but doesn't).
I have a few questions:
Are there apps out there that conflict with either the notification of software?
Does it have something to do with memory? Or possibly Zedge?
Is there a simple solution? Or does he need to get a 2nd replacement phone?
Any suggestion would be helpful!
We appreciate your help and thanks in advance!

It's possible that the issue is Zedge. I have read a lot of notification issues where the poster mentions they use Zedge.
I have never used anything other than Ringdroid to create my own tones and have never had issues with my notifications.
