Lost ability to use HOME button

First thing... I kept getting the Low Storage Space so I went on the Droid forum to figure out how to help with that. What was suggested was to go to:



Settings/Applications/Manage Applications/Sort by Size and clear some data



After doing that I now am unable to use my Home button and my lock-screen is not activated (not the "pattern" that one could choose to put in, but any type of Lock Screen isn't there). Oh, and of course... Low Storage is still an issue...

Have you restarted and/or pulled the battery?



Do you have many apps installed? What about saved text messages? Have you tried to move more apps to SD?

I have pulled the battery and restarted it a few times. I have deleted all text messages and only have a few apps installed. Now my ringer won't work either.

I started having the same problem yesterday, I have had my phone for about a year. Also, when I put it in the table top cahrger it doesn't go to the clock screen automatically. I have removed the battery, still no luck. The notification rings are not working also.
