Group Message

I can easily send out a group message to 4-5 or however many people i'd like, but when they're responses come in they all come in in different things (but distribute to everyone under the same chat) and if i was to want to respond, i'd have to start a completely new group message rather than just going into the old one and typing it, or i'd have to respond to one person at a time. any help?

(Basically after sending the original group message, i can no longer stay in the group convo because there is no way that I know of, but was hoping there is actually a way.)
