I heard that the LG Ally WILL be upgraded to Android 2.2 (Froyo) with the time line to be confirmed at a later date.

Cool! I'm mainly excited about the talk that it runs 2x-5x faster than 2.1.

    that is good news indeed

what the pessimist inside me worries about is Verizon disabling features of 2.2 like flash support or wi-fi tethering but the optimist inside me is just happy to be getting 2.2 for the Ally

The original Droid has started to get Android 2.2 and based on some of the threads i've read over at AndroidForums Droid forum, flash is not even included in the Android 2.2 update. It just gives you the ability to install Flash 10.1. If that is true, than LG\Verizon don't even need to strip Flash out of Android 2.2 because it doesn't appear that it's a part of the update.
