Is it possible to have non-google email accounts come directly to my ally? I have my gmail account set up to come directly, but i'd also really like it if I was able to have my college email as well. I don't want to forward my college emails to my gmail because my gmail gets WAY too much junk, and i'd like to keep my school emails separate. is this possible to do multiple emails to your phone, one of which not google?

    thanks!

Yes you can. You can set up multiple separate accounts. I have work, Gmail, and 2 Yahoo mail accounts on my phone.

If you use the Email App that came with the phone, you just need to go to the menu and Add Account.

I tried to do it and was unsure of how to know what type of account it was, either POP3, IMAP or exchange. How do I know? Also, when I try any of these, it gives me an error that says unable to open connection to server. Any idea what is causing this?

    Thanks!

Yes you can. All you would need is the incoming POP and outgoing SMTP servers of your provider. I have successfully pulled my Verizon email into both the stock email app and K-9 (which I currently use, thanks to its "select all" functionality).

Google search your service provider settings....for instance "verizon pop settings". Also make sure the "check authentication" setting is correct. Typically, this is left unchecked.

i set up three email accounts last week one of them being a Yahoo account and set up went fine.

i was checking mail from the Yahoo acct with no issues until tonight when it said user name and/or password incorrect.

i checked the settings for the account and all was ok and it said that some yahoo email accounts will have trouble connecting to the server visit yahoo for more info.

why all of a sudden am i having trouble with the yahoo account?

is this there way of getting me to install their mail app?

I believe in the market there is an app for Yahoo mail.
