Hi thanks for the quick response. Yes, I installed that LG software (& the LG USB Drivers) and it won't see the phone, although Windows XP sees the phone just fine. (i know i know, i am behind the times with my Windows OS too.)



I found another Android forum that had the screenshot of the text message verizon sent us a while back about the utility..which reminded me that my wife (who never deletes anything) probably still had the VZW text message, which she did, so I was able to use that to get the Ally upgrade utility...Now, all is well, and the phone is downloading 2.2.2 as we speak..
