I get e-mails from my house computer on my phone, when I delete them I hold down on the e-mail and then I press delete, but for some reason it doesn`t delete them permanently because they keep coming back. Does anyone else have this issue?

while your email is open. go to options/folders/trash.



And NO, you can't select them all at once.

It's a PAIN in the but.

I think he is referring to the email showing back up in his Inbox after he deletes it.



Under Account Settings there is a "Delete email from server" option that can be set to "Never" or "When I delete from inbox." If this is set to "Never", you will continue to get the same email on your phone until it is downloaded to your PC.

Wow, thank you. Mine was set to Never too. I can't believe after all this time I never knew to do that. Lol.



Now I was able to do that for Email, which is my Hotmail account. But I don't see that option for my Gmail account. Why is that? Because with Gmail, there isn't even a way to delete the emails in the trash folder anymore.

In the Gmail app click your menu button. Choose the labels option and scroll down to find the trash folder. You can empty it there.

Right, in the old Gmail app, I could go into the trash folder & delete old emails. But ever since I upgraded my Gmail app, when we got 2.2, it doesn't do that anymore. Now when I go into the trash folder and select emails, there is no delete option. Is this just me or are others experiencing this as well? Lol
