    Error: Couldn't install on USB storage or SD card.

    Couldn't install on USB storage or SD card.

    I received the above message when trying to update several different apps through Market.
    I've done a soft-reset, cycled power several times, un/re-mounted SD card, and the card has 3.61G free space.
    I've deleted all photos on the phone, as well as cleared my cache/data in email/texts/etc.

    Any thoughts?

    Try removing the card, cleaning the contacts with a soft toothbrush, and reinserting.

    It is safe to assume that this was not sent from a computer that doesn't fit in my hand.

    I may be putting a wiener in the fire while everyone else is roasting marshmallows here but have you backed up all data and done a factory data reset?

    (Please forgive me if this idea seems elementary. <--noob)

    Ah, but sometimes it's the basic steps everyone 'assumes' were done that got missed. So repeat the basics as often as needed.
