How to Root LG Optimus 2X Running Gingerbread 2.3.4
I have tried many methods unsuccessfully.. Superoneclick hangs at waiting for device, z4root force closes and gingerbreak never stops. The last method I tried was downloading upd_zip.1, moving it root of sd card, powering up in recovery move, apply update from sd card then clicking on the file to install. I thought it was going to work until I got this message:E: signature verification failed..... Does anyone know what I am doing wrong or of another way to root this device? Suggestions are greatly appreciated, thanks!

Any one of those ways normally works. My question is, why do you want it rooted? I have a rooted device and am just curious to what your reason is to have one rooted.
