Costco Confirms Motorola Atrix $149.99 Price

Folks seem to be generally happy with the $150 price, considering that most smartphones go for $200 brand new, and not to mention that with something being “the most powerful”, it could be an excuse for AT&T to charge $250 or $300 or something. While that is a nice price, it’s also a bit of a silver lining in a thunderstorm.

Video Emerges Online

Motorola came out swinging at CES this year. Three new devices were introduced to world, a tablet that goes by the name Xoom an amazing 4G HTC Thunderbolt that is set to take off soon and the Atrix which is surely the first attempt at truly shifting the smart phones place in our lives. If your unfamiliar the new Motorla Atrix can be docked to essentially an empty net book styled laptop and be used in seamlessly on a larger more eye friendly screen. The Motorola Atrix amongst a slew of others, features a dual core processor a 960 x 540 display, a fingerprint reader (yea), a 1930 mAh battery as well HD video recording capabilities.

Off Contract?

The Atrix 4G could end up selling for $199.99 from AT&T but Amazon might offer an extra $50 discount, which is something Amazon would do. On the other hand, considering Verizon is getting the iPhone 4, which is something that will hit both the other U.S. carriers and the other Android manufacturers, a $149.99 price point for a phone such as the Atrix 4G would be a great offer for anyone looking to buy a new smartphone but still undecided between Android and iOS.
