Afterward I was feeling a lot of buyer's remorse, since the difference in speed is probably not even going to be noticeable, but then I remembered that phred spent $200. Now I feel silly for worrying over 9 bucks.
When this phone gets rooted and you want to use the Apps2SD hack, that difference will be very noticeable.

Ha, that gave me idea to spend my rebate card on... I'd like to put some movies on my phone; the wife says I use it more as a computer than a phone

As Naples pointed out, the speed will be worth it in the end if you root this and use apps running off the SD Card.

How much of a difference in transfer speed would that actually make? I know when youre moving a lot of memory in a short amount of time (like an HD digital camera), it really matters. But just playing music/storing 5mp quality pics, even running phone apps, is it necesary on a cell phone?

I can see transferring data, like music onto the phone would be awesome... but other than that... what am I missing?

I get all my memory cards from newegg.com. Currently 16 GB cards are running ~$50. Different classes are available. I've always had good luck with them.

    Question on Classes

What is the difference in the Class ratings on the cards, I am headed to the store to get one this weekend and I want to get the right card. I plan to use my card for music and apps, I was planning on the 16GB.

There are three speed classifications: Class 2 cards run at 2.2MB/s, Class 4 at 4MB/s and Class 6 at 6MB/s.

Just to let you know the sd card CAN NOT be used for apps. You can not install apps to the sdcard they must be installed to the phone's memory. Unless we get the phone rooted this is the way it is for now.

I have 9 lockerz invites if interested PM me.
