    Anyone out there still trying to root the backflip?

    If so i have found some files that may be of some help (hopefully).I will upload them here in order to provide them to the community.BTW if you want to pull the files off of the backflip they are located in the /system/etc/security directory.

    Exclamation still want root

    I still want the root for the backflip , this device has so much potential

    I really do hope that there are still people that are trying to root the backflip. I just really would like this without Motoblur and with 2.1 android. That way the battery would last longer. I really don't need those atomatic updates.

    id love a root to the backflip. sadly, im not much more proficient than the average layman when it comes to Android and its intricacies. i just got my backflip about a month ago. so at the moment im simply waiting for a root to become available...

    Sorry should have given an update on this but i looked through alot of the certs and they all seem to be ssl certs.They're not going to help us but there are a few terminal apps in the /system/bin/ directory that might.

    fuel_gauge

    Me too. If I was alright with having my backflip bricked trying to root it myself, then I might try to figure out how to do it.
