lol, if it is then that's really ****ed up, I don't think they'll actually do that, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

    It's not that's it's hard, there's just less to exploit in 1.5.

Also the lack of attention doesn't help.

Yeah, even though 1.5's old, that doesn't mean they haven't been updating it...

the backflip is on 1.5, revision 3. By now, they've fixed most of the known exploits. the reason that all of these new phones are being rooted is because they're on fairly new software, so there hasn't been enough time for all the holes to be fixed.

If there isn't a working root by the time Motorola releases 2.1, one will probably be out within a week.

Hey.... Why don't we jsut take that missing file from another phone (Devour or cliq) and put it in ours via adb? Unless you require elevated privileges for this, in which case it wouldn't hurt to at least try. Just sayin'.

It's not a missing file, just a missing folder. There's nothing to copy.

ADB doesn't have access to that part of the phone's filesystem anyways- only the system does.

Well then I ask what kind of quarters are they measuring by. Fiscally we're already in the 4th quarter. Calendar wise Q3 would have been july to september. So what exactly are they going by?

Motorola's update schedule uses regular calendar quarters. We are currently nearing the halfway point for Q3, which is July 1st through September 31st.
