    I wouldn't try just yet. I would make sure that all of the recovery stuff is in place first. Does that mod work on the Cliq?

    yeah i believe trying this bricked my backflip lol. it goes to the white moto M screen and hangs. I even tried the hard reset option and it hangs as well.

    i'd loke cyanogen in my backflip as well, but im no even trying if you guys bricked your phones

    Don't do it yet till someone makes a custom backflip rom and kernel.

    If it's just a kernel issue, couldn't someone take the kernel source from the Motorola release and drop the necessary parts into the CM source? I imagine it would be a huge pain in the ass because (as far as I know) there is not any released Motorola source > 1.5 so you'd have to implement all sorts of things that aren't (yet) implemented.

    We should be seeing it soon, a guy named kernelzilla has been doing some work on github, and tweeted 20 something days ago that he had gotten cyanogenmod 6 running on the backflip, but that there were still a lot of bugs
