    Overclocking?

Ok so I'm all rooted now, and the main reason I did it was so I can overclock my backflip.

I've tried 2 different things now: Open Overclock and Overclock Widget.

Neither of them seem to be working because when I select a higher frequency and accept it, it does nothing.

Are there any working programs out there that can allow me to overclock?

It requires a custom kernel. I'm sure they're coming

EDIT: when the custom kernels actually start appearing, use SetCPU. It's the defacto standard.

Yes. latest version of it is 2.0.2 and in that version, the dev took out 1.5 support. So you have to push the version before it. I'll PM it to you.

    ???Confused???
Are they doing this to use profiles and underclock at times to preserve battery life because I can't see how setcpu would allow them to overclock without a custom kernel that actually had OC support.

as far as a full Overclock to something greater than the capped 528MHz, no, but they could use the profiles to underclock and save battery. But they can change the minimum speed to increase performance as well. it does make quite a bit of difference and is essentially a form of overclocking.

kind of like how global warming and global cooling are the same thing?
