There are 2 versions of PDAnet

one is free, the other is paid

The only really difference I noticed was the paid one has support for https where as the free does not

There are some settings that you have to change first. I saw a blog post about it somewhere, but I can't remember where...
Credit goes to ee0r.com for my avatar.

RE: pdanet bluetooth does not work with android 1.5. usb only lets you do http(no https) free and it expires. use android tether. also why not just use market enabler to change sim instead off pulling it?

It expires huh? That doesnt sound right seeing as Ive been using PDAnet for several months, basically ever since I got the phone. And Ive never read nor gotten alerts, nor seen anything at all that implies it expires.

its not pdanet that expires, its the ability to visit sites that have https: in the beginning instead of http:.. This mainly effects secure shopping sites, and even then, just the check out process..

if you know what registry keys to change you don't have to worry about that..

Oh, and if you like streaming video from hulu/whatnot, I find pdanet to me a tiny more reliable than wireless tethering (one less place to introduce lag on an already slow/dsl quality connection.. 1mb with bursts up to 2 or 3 in my socal area).
