    Flashing a rooted image?

    Is it possible for someone to make an sbf. File with root and unknown sources built in? If it is that would make it way easier.....

    I think its a good idea. I just dont have the time or knowledge or i would do it.....

    If this were possible, then we could have had root a long time ago. The problem is, without having a rooted phone, you cannot flash any SBF or Update file that are not signed with Motorola's private keys. Once you have root access on a phone you can get around this, but until then the only files you can flash have to come straight from Motorola, and any tampering with the file would invalidate the signature (which is the precise reason for signing). As far as the unsigned sources, there is already an easy to apply update over at modmymobile.com that you can apply once you have root access, just look in the development section.
