Am I missing something. People have said with this rom that their battery life has improved. With the 1.5 I was geting 29-28 hours of use base of my stats with "Battery Left" app. With the 2.1 beta 3 I'm getting 17-20 hours. All I have running is K-9 checking my imap email, the occasional text message coming through, maybe 5-10mins of talk time per day. Just like the 1.5 I have set the power consumption to the minimum so the brightness level is at 0% and all the normal tips to extend the battery life. I know this rom is still in the beta stages but has anyone been having this problem?

I can't seem to put my Backflip into standby (with the power button) after installing Preclair 2.1 b3 last night (Woo-Hoo!). I can't find a thread that addresses this so maybe it's just me? Everything else is working great!! Thanks to all who figure this stuff out, you people are AMAZING!

What is "standby"? Do you mean you cannot turn off the display?

used to be, if you pushed down on the power button for about 1 second the phone would go into, what I called, "Standby", or "Sleep" (the screen goes off and the phone hibernates). Now, nothing happens. If I hold the power button a little while longer, I get the usual options of Airplane mode, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and Power off. I'm using the setting to have the display time out, which I never liked using before but happily I will if I have to.

That's odd, one press of the button and my screen goes off.

Sent from my Samsung Vibrant. Please excuse my Swype.

    Check 2 things first:
Settings -> Sound & Display -> Brightness -> Turn on automatic
Settings -> Sound & Display -> Screen Timeout -> Set a short time (like 15 seconds)
    Does the screen timeout automatically?

Possibly one of your apps has keep screen alive turned on?

Yes, that's what I have to do now (screen time-out), but before, I would just tap the power button and the screen would go off in "Sleep" mode. Now, it doesn't do that.

Have you tried doing a factory reset on the phone?
