I have no idea what your talking about. Are you trying to root the beta 2.1 released by moto?

OCLF is for the Galaxy S series by Samsung. It has to do with the way Samsung used RFS as the default filesystem... not rooting. One click root on the other hand, IDK? I'd hold off on using anything that wasn't made with the backflip in mind, because it's end result could be _brick_.

Dorian is correct. The app you are referring to is specific to the Galaxy S phones. There is an app you can use, VISIONary to root the official Moto 2.1 upgrade, but it currently isn't available from the Market (and the current version won't run on the Backflip anyway. You can get an older version which will work at com.modaco.visionary.apk. You will need to run the app twice and it needs to be re-ran whenever the phone is powered off (it is a temporary root).

Well, this appears to be new, and I don't know if it's recommended, but THIS was posted on XDA 3 days ago. It's a multi-phone one click root/unroot that works most of the time. It's available on the Market (for now), or it can be side-loaded... but it requires no PC link when acquired from the market; all done on the phone. I just tried it on my officially updated 2.1 Backflip and everything seems OK so far. Root only programs are able to get permissions so far. It's not Backflip specific, it's actually posted in a Samsung thread, but the list of working phones is getting longer. I guess we'll see...

That's very interesting! Thanks for posting that. I actually saw that the other day, but haven't used it. All my phones are on custom ROM's that are already rooted.

I had seen this also, but hadn't tried it out. I doubt it will stay in the Market for long.

I installed it today on my Backflip. No issues so far, and still on the market.

it's supposed to do the same thing as adb... you still need the root files, then you just run the z4root or whatever it's called

haven't done it so can't verify
