Its actually a program you install on your computer.

Is there a program like Droid Explorer for Linux?

I recall mention of linux in this thread:
[ADB Setup] Motorola Backflip - xda-developers
Dont recall how helpful it will be. You may be forced to do it all via command line.

Thanks. Yeah, I had read that and have it setup so that I can run "adb" from the command line. Was just wondering if there was a GUI tool like Droid Explorer I could use. Oh well. No biggie.

Sorry I don't get it..if Droid explorer is a desktop application, why should I refer to the other link for installing non-market apps?
I downloaded and installed the Droid explorer, but it doesn't seem to recognize my backflip. Thanks

It's a desktop application to help you install nonmarket apps. I thought mine wasn't working either even though I've had USB debugging turned on, the USB drivers loaded, etc. Turns out it can't run at the same time as PDANet. I disconnected from PDANet and Droid Explorer picked me right up.

True..I found that quite recently. This is a pretty useful application. Lets you take screenshots as well as install apks on your phone. I like it.
