If your battery ever gets hot enough to scorch the paper and start to smell like something's burning... Turn it off and get that phone back to the store ASAP!

    Cool same problem

I had this problem whithin the first month of getting the backflip. It got worse and worse. Occuring every day around 6 times. Even with factory resets and removing the installed apps. It would have problems.

So I tok it back. They screwed me around because they didn't believe me (fair enough its a randomly occuring problem) after a while they finally replaced it with this one. Its ben around 10 days since I replaced it. Yesterday it rebooted twice. I'm going to do the same thing last time. I currently have an SD Card in there that's 8GB. So I'm going to swap it around. And once again backup my phone with a clean wipe. I hope it works out.

Btw I'm in australia with optus. If I have any problems I'll try to keep you informed. Otherwise I really like the phone. And if australia doesn't get the update I'm pobably going to manually put 2.1 on here

Tl;dr, this is my second backflip and its starting to show signs of the same problem. But ill try to fix it and keep you updated

So my 3rd backflip has had some of the same reboot issues as before. It seems as though if I take the battery out and reseat it then I don't notice any of the issues for a solid 10-14 days. I've done the newest maintenance update as well and still notice the problem. I'm gonna get the battery replaced soon I believe and see if that cures anything.

It's just frustrating to know that AT&T makes their customers troubleshoot their tech issues for them with no incentives. Shows how much they care.

My is having similar reboot problems. How many folks does this have to affect before they finally do a recall????

So yesterday I had AT&T enable a brand new SIM card to see if that helps with anything. I'll keep everyone updated.

I did the paper trick. I opened my case and would barely move the battery and it would reboot. I shook it, reboot. It just seems that the battery doesn't sit in the intended spot all that well.

So, I've had a business card in my battery case for about a month now and haven't experienced the reboot issue once.

It's ridiculous that Motorola won't acknowledge the issue to any vendors or vice versa.
