Thumbs up Attaching Contact Phone # to Text

So from time to time I get someone asking for a number for one of my friends. I used to be able to quickly attach a number into the text message rather easily on my Moto Razor mind you. I feel like this should be easier, but this is the only method I've found...

    1. leave the text and go into my contacts
    2. find the contact the person is asking about
    3. edit the contact
    4. press and hold on the # to copy the number
    5. leave that contact and return to the text message
    6. reply and press and hold to paste the number

There's the option in the text menu to attach pictures, videos, record voice and all this stupid crap I would rarely use, but no option to attach contact info. If you have a solution please enlighten me. Plus I'm having that pixilation static issue people have also been talking about, I also had to get a new battery cause it was only lasting until 4pm. Missing my razor...

I'm still baffled by this, there is no way to attach a contact to a text message without exiting and doing what you suggested above?!! Even my LG Shine could have done that!!

(Thanks for that btw Phireball76, because up until this moment I didn't even know this.)

This is one of those things that would make a nice addition to Android Gingerbread (2.3) -- They are open to suggestions.

This is one thing I would like to see in the upcoming 2.3 Gingerbread OS as well.

Replace the numbers with the actual ten-digit number of the receiving person. The email to text addresses vary by carrier.
Thanks. I found a free one called ContactSender by rde8026.
