yea I think I figured it out,I guess it only says that if my phone is plugged into the PC. a few problems I have is Motorola Phone Tools 5 won;t detect my phone.

Also Motorola Media Link seems confusing.I would still like to use Motorola Phone Tools if possible,is it compatible with the Backflip.

    Here's the thing about that...

When your phone is connected to your PCs USB port by the ccable, it is either...

    1. Charging the phone and sharing the SD memory to the PC.

    2. Charging the phone, only.

So, when it is sharing the SD card memory to the PC that means that the SD card memory is acting as an external disk drive as far as the PC is concerned.

The PC can then read and write stuff to and from the phone SD card. While the PC has control of the phone's SD card, the phone can't use it. So it just tells you that the memory card is not available. That's not a problem.

It just means the phone can't use the SD card until the PC is done with it. You can control whether the phone or the PC has control of the SD card by pulling down the status bar at the top of the phone's screen and touching the line showing the USB symbol there.

You'll be asked if you want to stop using the SD memory as a shared drive for the PC. If you say 'yes', then the phone gets the SD card back and you'll in 'charging only' mode.

    Hope that helps.

I don't believe that you can transfer directly to the phone itself other than possibly by bluetooth or something.

I suppose you could put the tones on the SD card and then move them from the phone.
