Garbled Album Art in AT&T Music Player

Good morning all. I got my Backflip about a week ago and really like it - much better than my prior smart phones: Blackberry Curve and Blackberry Bold.

In any event, I loaded my music collection on my SD card. The collection is about 1/2 MP3s downloaded from Amazon and the rest are in ogg vorbis format, ripped from CDs. The album art for the Amazon downloads is "integrated" into each music file. I had to manually integrate album art for the ogg files using EasyTag [this is a Linux tagger program running on Ubuntu 9.10, Karmic Koala].

Prior to getting a Backflip, I had all my music on a Sansa Fuze. I loaded the music on the Fuze from my Linux box without using any special software - just dragged and dropped the music using the Gnome file manager. The album art reproduced itself perfectly. However, on the Backflip, a small handful of the album art is properly shown, another small handful is completely garbled, and the vast majority don't show album art at all.

Any suggestions for how to fix this situation? Is there another Android music player that shows album art? I've already tried Music Player - a paid app from Darren Gates - and andLess by skvalex, neither of which seemed to recognize album art.

    Look forward to your advice.

Marvin, the vast majority of album folders contain a "cover.jpg" file and this doesn't seem to make a difference as to whether the album art is reproduced accurately or otherwise.
