Backflip stopped syncing my Google Contacts

I've had the Backflip since February and it's been a pretty good relationship.

I've been slow to notice this, but the phone hasn't been able to successfully sync my Google account contacts since July. When I select the option to sync now, the recycling-arrows spin then just stay there. I may briefly see a notification that sync is unavailable.

Gmail and Calendar are syncing just fine. I've tried resetting my Google password to see if that would help, but it didn't.
