Have you tried the Auto setting?

My pics were taken at full zoom and they turned out great so I cant agree with you on that. Atleast not in this case.

Yup, I believe that's what it was already on, I hadn't touched the settings yet at that point.

Digital zoom really affects the quality, it's a trade off for a close picture or good quality.

I will post some pics from Goblin Valley when I get back next week.

When you printed them, what print size did you use? I stand by my post. Take any print with digital zoom and print it at 8x10. Do the same with a print with NO digital zoom (under very similar circumstances, of course). I'm sure you'll see a difference. Digital zoom significantly reduces resolution. This won't be real obvious on a computer screen as these images are being down-rez'd anyway. It will be obvious on an enlargement.

    Nice pics.

    Cute kid. :D

It appears that the quality of the backflip photos is REALLY sensitive to the amount of light available. It will take pics in lower light situations, but they're going to come out grainy and fuzzy.

And the flash doesn't help all that much and isn't really very strong. Which, I guess, is understandable considering that it's a phone not a camera.

    Good to know...

Con5150, you are making me HUNGRY!

All of the outdoor pictures look really good. The indoor ones, not so much. But this is about what I expected. Which is fine, since I have a perfectly good nikon coolpix.
