Nope. All of At&ts bloat ware is there to stay (at least until we get the phone rooted). Sorry.

You can delete widgets and shortcuts from the home screens by long pressing them and then dragging them to the trashcan icon that appears at the bottom of the screen.

You can hide the icons in the applications tray IF you use a replacement home app such as dxTop or PandaHome (both avaliable in the market).

When you use a replacement home app you will gain features and lose features. You just have to decide what you like best.

    Hiding Icons - PandaHome

Long Tap on an empty area of the home screen
Select Home Assistant from the menu that pops up
Select Icon-Hide from the next menu

You'll be shown a list of all the available apps with a button to the right of the app name. When the button is filled in (green on my phone) that app's icon will not be displayed in the application tray.

On the Home Assistant menu there are a bunch of settings. The most useful ones are icon-hide and Multi-screen (sets the number of home screens from 1-11).
