    Question Battery Usage

    Is there a way to see the percentage of how much battery life you have left or have used? Aside from adding an app that is. I've looked, but I may be missing it.

    You can check in Settings -> Status -> About Phone

    There should be a line indicating whether the battery is charging or discharging as well as the current charge level.

    If the phone is charging, you can check the bottom of the "lock" screen and it will show the percentage of being fully charged. This goes away at full charge.

    You can use AnyCut to create a shortcut to the info that the phone reports.

    Directions here

    Hey thanks!! Yes, I've noticed it when it's charging, I was more speaking about when it isn't. They recommend that you charge it when you have 25% left I believe.

    To view the battery status without any widgets:

    from a home screen:

    menu->Settings->About phone->Status

    The percentage of charge is the second item.

    FYI - your uptime since last boot is the last item on this list (scroll down to it)

    Now I'm confused about this phone. I did a hard reset just because and now the battery seems to be much much more efficient. I haven't loaded my programs back on like Task and other stuff, but man the battery is running much more efficient. Weird.

    The battery on mine has improved since I first purchased it. I think it just took some conditioning is all.

    Mine is horrendous, yesterday I took it off the charger right before I left the house at about 5 and by 11:30pm it was alerting me to charge it! I must have made one call and a few texts!
