How do you turn off the music files when they're opened up in ATT's Music app? I turn them on to listen and they loop through the whole set and back again.

I don't think you can turn off songs in the default music player. I found this a bit 'odd', too.

I've been just putting it on 'pause' to stop it and either then playing another song or exiting back to the home screen with the song 'paused'. Loading up the music player later still remembers the song as 'paused' but at least it's not playing.

Leaving the song stuck in there on 'pause' seems a bit untidy but it doesn't seem to hurt anything.

Correct in regards to it doesnt hurt anything. As I understand it, android is designed to more or less let apps sit in the background consuming virtually no resources.
