Ok, I just looked at the "data calculator". That thing is a joke. I think I'll just continue to use 3G Watchdog to monitor my data usage.

    Btw, I hate ATT.

way more than 1 gb, actually getting close to 2GB.

    1 gb=1024 MB (mega bytes)
    1 mb=1024 KB(kilobytes)

so 2 GB is 2048 MB...or less than 100MB over what you have used...how much are you going to use today ;-)

Yeah, as Zappcatt said, you're about to hit 2GB. You're sitting at about 1.911 GB right now (or 1.957 GB, depending on whether ATT uses 1024 or just 1000 for their calculations).

I didn't hit 2 gigs.....anyway I can keep my unlimited data plan....so that's good....but and this is good too, my wife's BB data usage runs not even 50mb a month.... mostly emails, so I think I will get her plan down to the $15 plan.

Also if you give up the unlimited data plan for this you will not be able to get it again. When they introduce these new plan options the unlimited plan will no longer be offered.Basically if you think in the future you might use alot of data, dont switch.

The existing "unlimited" data plans will be grandfathered in, the same way the satellite providers grandfather channel packages when they change their packages. So long as you don't make ANY changes to your plan you can keep the data package. If you change your plan for whatever reason, it's gone.

I'm wondering what happens if you change to one of the new data plans on one line of a family plan, do you lose the unlimited data on the other line?

The data plans on Family Plans are supposed to be seperate, so theoretically the other line shouldn't be affected by changing the data plan on one. I would talk to an actual ATT rep and get it in writing first though.
