    AT&T says upgrade to 2.0, not 2.1

Look at the AT&T link, scroll down to the lower part, under Android FAQ's... the first question and answer states:

Q: What OS is the MOTOROLA BACKFLIP™?
A: The MOTOROLA BACKFLIP™ runs Android 1.5 and is upgradable to Android 2.0.

Hmmm... 2.0 huh? I am so confused now... Motorola says 2.1, AT&T says 2.0.

Can we get a straight answer from someone?

Better place to post something like this would be on the official ATT and Moto forums. I suspect that Motorola saying 2.1 is more accurate. From what I've seen, 2.0 and 2.1 are basically the same (both referred to as "Eclair"), so I don't think there would be a major difference. Still, I'm fairly certain it is 2.1 that we will be receiving.

I am pretty sure that was created before the 2.1 announcement from Motorola. I am not concerned.

not to mention that this is from the AT&T site....not Motorola - the people who actually MAKE your phone. AT&T is just a carrier bro.

I know, just found it and figured I would post it. Seems AT&T would have their website upgrade. Like NaplesBill said it was before 2.1 announcement from Motorola.

ATT is only the carrier, but they do have to approve any updates for the phone.

Still, I'm fairly certain it is just outdated information.

Yeah, half the stuff in those FAQs is either inaccurate or (IMHO) downright lies, so I wouldn't get too worried about it.

Just had to make sure. I am to the point of not caring whether I get 2.0 or 2.1... just looking forward to the upgrade for more apps.

1.5 is getting older now... but I am still happy with it. But there are apps >= 2.0 that I want.
