    Problems setting up email

    Hey! So excited ~ I finally got my backflip But I am in Canada & having a bleep of a time trying to set up my email (I use shaw). It keeps telling me I have an error. Has anyone done this? Or do you have any advice on how to figure this out? I'm not super techy although I try!

    Have you looked at the directions here? Honestly, I'm not familiar with Shaw, but they do support external POP accounts, so it should work fine.

    Not familiar with Shaw either. If you can find what their email settings for either POP3 or IMAP are and post them here I'm sure one of us can try and walk you through it though. Also, what errors or problems are you having/getting.

    Dont use it as an IMAP account or it wont ever pull your email.. The stock email app in 2.1 is broken and doesnt work with IMAP accounts..
    Ive reported it but the Moto folks seemed to completely miss mine and a couple other peoples complaints about it..

    I doubt it will matter in this case but you could try K-9 Mail. Its based of the stock email client but has alot more options.
