Like Droid 2... how about a Droid 3?
Over the last few days there have been a lot of rumors about Motorola wanting to develop a Droid 3. This is big news as at the end of December, there were other rumors that Motorola was going to end the "Droid" phones, and instead go more into their "Xoom" products. (i.e like their new Xoom tablet).
So far numerous rumors are circulating around the internet about a Droid 3, and even a Droid X 2. Currently there are no phone specs, no pricing, etc... but I am expecting more information to be released in the up coming months.
So the question is:
If you have a Droid 2, are you going to upgrade to the Droid 3?
If you want to buy a Droid 2, are you now going to wait?
For me... the Droid 2 is awesome, as of yet, I don't see a reason to get another phone

what if the D3 has the new T3 core, and an unlocked bootloader?!?!
there's been speculation that Moto's recent "retraction" and indication that it may offer an unlocked bootloader could come in the form of the D3. for the "Droid that started it all," i think this has some nice symmetry to it!

Would definitely be nice huskerkate. I wanted to pick up the Bionic but I may have to wait to see what is coming down the pipeline. What to do : )

C/K - I felt the same, I was all about the Bionic - but I think I am keeping my horizons open, just the thought of a 4G Dual Core Droid 3 makes me forget all about the Bionic

The Droid 3 would be cool. I want the Bionic but at the moment my X is sufficing just fine. Although I might want to upgrade again in November.

I would of considered getting a new phone in the up coming months, but it appears Verizon cancelled their "Get a new phone every 2 years" program

You can still get one it'll just cost you a little more since you won't get the NE2 discount. You might still have one last one left if you haven't used it after the 16th.

Id hop on a d3 if it had an unlocked bootloader. I love having the physical keyboard to use whenever i dont feel like using the soft one.

The PKB is important for me but if it was the right device I would definitely sacrifice it - if I had a choice though I would also have a physical keyboard
Was it the Solana that promised a 4" screen with a PKB ?
