I just got it worked out. I was having problems on Win 7 64 Bit (despite proper drivers, etc) and an old Win XP laptop. So I installed Ubuntu on a second hard drive on my PC and was able to get it to work from there. Side note: if I can find a good replacement for Dreamweaver and Photoshop, I may just make a permanent switch to Ubuntu; so much faster than Win 7!

It does it in Ubuntu as well if you have certain antivirus programs running. Trust me I been using Ubuntu, Windows 7, and Snow Leopard for past year testing what causes issues with flashing an android phone. Over 75% of the time it's an antivirus program, about 20% it's user error (3% of that is the wrong Rom), and rest is hardware. That doesn't mean the remaining 5% is hardware. It's probably 3.5% hardware and 1.5 is the unknown. It happens from time to time.

Just saw this. Here's an easy SBF method to get back to. 340 Linux solution to your Windows/RSD lite problems

Did you wipe data/cache when updating to GB? If not you couldve booted into stock recovery, wiped, then rebooted.
